The Dutch fashion manufacturer G-Star RAW has the expression of its identity found in the designs of Jean Prouvé - technical objects, which are characterized by structural necessity, but at the same time exude a poetic aura. A classic they had already launched a source of inspiration for the team of G-Star and 2011 Vitra and G-Star RAW have in a first collaboration, the Crossover Collection "Prouvé RAW" extended period.
Prouvé constructive logic and the strict use of honest, industrial materials not only meet the product philosophy and brand identity of G-Star, they also fit the architecture of the new, built by the architect Rem Koolhaas headquarters of the fashion label. So the decision was only logical to set up all the offices, conference rooms and cafeterias of the building complete with designs that Jean Prouvé designed some 70 years ago for various French companies and universities. Together with the architecture they create a work environment that reflects the radical design approach of the company.
In collaboration with the Prouvé family, Vitra has adapted the designs of today’s office requirements and standards as have been developed in conjunction with Art Directors of G-Star colors and details. For the establishment project were single and double workstations, elaborated conference tables, office chairs and some other furniture exclusively for G-Star. The new crossover collection Prouvé RAW Office Edition is now Out of Production.
The swivel seat of Fauteuil Direction Pivotant is height adjustable, and the backward tilt mechanism can be adapted to the individual user’s weight.
