This exuberant buildable sofa is designed by Burkhard Vogtherr in 1969 for Rosenthal, Germany.
A very rare modular sofa consisting of freely arrangeable 12x seating elements.
The frames of the elements are produced in moulded plastic / fiberglass and have grips in the backs perfect for rearranging the parts of the sofa easily.
The sofa was first owned by a former managing director of Rosenthal - the ensemble was initially upholstered in brown velour, then covered with the current orange-red fabric in the Rosenthal upholstery shop - the brown velour is still underneath.
The foam padding is good, the seating comfort guaranteed.
There are a few minor stains, see photos, total length of all pieces put together as a sofa is approximately 430 cm.
The angular dimensions of the constellation shown are approx. 3.20 cm and 2.80 cm.
