Painted wood in yellow and red, signed F. Schwegler, abstract installation in the shape of a yellow triangle with red wheels, mounted on castors. With traces of use, surface partially with abrasions and minor losses of colour, dimensions 204 x 156 x 40 cm.
Artist information: German visual artist, painter, draughtsman, sculptor, writer and musician (1935 Breech near Göppingen to 2014 ibid.) attended primary school in Börtlingen from 1942 to 1950, then trained as a carpenter until 1954, travelled through Europe, Asia Minor and Africa as an itinerant journeyman from 1955 to 1958, worked in Paris, Rome, Cairo, New York and Tokyo,
1959 master carpenter’s examination in Stuttgart, state-certified woodworking technician, learnt under Ernst Rülke, 1960-1963 teacher at the Stuttgart Youth Centre, at the same time studied sculpture at the Stuttgart State Academy of Fine Arts from 1961, from 1963 at the City and Guilds of London Art School, from 1962 freelance sculptor, 1973 lecturer in basic sculpture at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, 1975 professorship at the Academy, initially for painting, from 1987 for sculpture, active as a lecturer until 2001.
