Set of 4 early examples of the SE42 Chair by Egon Eiermann, made out of plywood in beech.
The curved seat and back promise a very comfortable seating.
These chairs come in original condition, we carefully removed the old transparent varnish from the complete surfaces by hand and sealed them again afterwards, there remain some stains in the plywood - some traces of time could only be repaired with massive intervention into the structure. On 2 chairs the screws of the backrest were replaced, these were provided directly by Wilde und Spieth.
The set is about 70 years old, therefore the back parts are partly a little crooked, but this has no influence on sitting comfort or stability!
The current condition is absolutely habitable without hiding the charm of the age!
This is a historically valuable design, such a set is extremely rare to get.
