very rare Guy Besnard reclining lounge chair, which was designed in 1954 for the company Free Span in france.
it is the model FS 134. if you unlock the inner frame at the side (see photos), it will move into the lounge position - in addition, you can pull out the leg rest underneath the seat!
the frame’s form is strongly reminiscent of the profiles of jean prouvé and indeed besnard and prouvé have worked together on some projects.
this lounger is extremely comfortable, the solid, handmade armrests, the thick upholstery...simply inviting!
all wooden parts are made of solid oak - all settings work perfectly.
